What may ornament

What may ornament
Runs like centuries
Across the wall
When only a season's fancy
Makes a language
Of the leaves

Which roots embed
A memory
Full in depth
For grubs
To feed

Wanting a meal
And overturning rocks
The woody pipes
Of hidden thrushes
Swag their pan
Apartments
