An excavator

An excavator
Winnows the brick
Away from the sand
Once lining the cove

Whose sand
Was carved
An Egyptian
Crook of tides
Cruel ordered
By a mason moon

So piles
Of brick
Grow
Pyramidical
As men imagine crystals

The cove
A minnowed cradle
Frees its slaves
At birth
